Since we did left over breakfast and dinner yesterday, we had zero food (we did have good breafast options), so we went to Toasy All Day for breakfast. This is the only place I took a picture of the food, and JD got a basic bitch breakfast with an oldy but goody…the classic breakfast and I had the breakfast biscut sandwich. I did take a picture of mine, the only picture of food I managed.

We had originally wanted to go to Middleton Place, but the house was closed for renovations and cost the same. We decided to go to the Magnolia Plantation, which did not disappoint. We bought all-inclusive tickets, which means we got the house tour, Slave to Freedom tour, and the Wildlife tour, as well as transportation to and from. Our driver to was Marine Mike. He was an ex-Marine vet and also a retired history teacher who was a transplant from New Jersey. He was an interesting short guide. When we got onto the plantation, we did a walkabout before we did the house, slave to freedom, and nature tour we had signed up for.
We weren’t allowed to take pictures and/or videos in the house so take my word, it was pretty awesome to see the history. This house has been in the family for 13 generations. The slave quarters and history was heart breaking to hear and witness where they lived. I’ve been listening to Black AF History story book and even though I’ve been listening to it way before our trip. I highly recommend if you enjoy history.

After the plantation day, we went back to your place and decided to go to a local bar close that was hip and Christmas themed. We met a lot of people leaving the next day which was Monday, so we bought each other shots (the youngest they had with them was the youngest of two older sisters at the age of 18ish months. They ended up finding a bunch of people (without children) leaving on the same flight. Good for them!
