The main plans for the day were brunch at 10am together and then the ceremony and after. The girls got their hair and make up done so they were tied up after breakfast. Carl the chef was back at the house to make breakfast for the group. While he was preparing everything, folks were still getting up and at ‘em. JD and I got up at 6:30ish am since it was technically 8:30ish to our internal clock because of the time difference. Since Andy and I both knew we couldn’t wait until 10am, we walked down to a little mart to grab something to eat to hold us over until food was served. He got a breakfast sandwich and I got a smoothie and granola bar.

Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, pastry pizza that had prosciutto and cheese along with a baked pastry. After breakfast, people were free to do whatever. We just had to be ready by 2:30pm when the van was to pick us up and take us to the spot, Short Sand Beach.

After brunch, JD and I got cleaned up and headed out to grab some food and go see “The Big Cedar” which is the oldest tree in Oregon. Morgan and Nate had gone there the previous day and said it was really cool and the pictures didn’t do the shear size of the tree justice. It was about a 5 minute drive from the house and was an easy 1 mile trek. She was right, the pictures did NOT do justice. Not only was that tree impressive, there were some other really big trees.

An old fallen soldier but look how big this stump is!
Can you believe this tree is 800-1200 years old!!
We found a Banana Slug! Apparently if you lick them, your tongue becomes numb. Yes, this is a thing and no, I did not lick it. I didn’t know it was a thing at the point we saw it but I still wouldn’t have even if I did know that information.

We got back to the house will plenty of time to spare so we just hung out with everyone while the photographer was taking pictures of the rings, dress, etc. Everyone was ready at 2:30pm when the van arrived. The bride and groom stayed behind to finish up some before pictures. Short Sand Beach was about a 20 minute drive and my goodness, the spot was perfect for a wedding and picturesque.

Fun fact, were were very close to Cannon Beach which is where The Goonies was filmed along with the iconic Haystack Rock Formation. We did’t get an opportunity to see the spot but it was cool that we were that close.

The ceremony lasted about 7 minutes and was very beautiful. They did a back and forth of their vows instead of reading theirs all the way through. What a great idea, I loved it! After the ceremony, we couples took pictures (see day one) before heading back to the house where we had appetizers and drinks waiting for us. Carl, the chef, and our server were on point and did a great job. We relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company and a beverage. We also wrote words of advice on a jinga set that AJ and Greg had custom made for them.

We were all seated when Ashley and Nate came in. We had schemed to do their entry song to The Thong Song as Ashley made a reference to it the night before.

There were some more pictures taken as dinner was served and while we were eating. Dinner was choice of Halibut or lamb in a sauce along with croquettes and asparagus with cream sauce. I had the Halibut and JD had the lamb. Both were good! Dessert was a cheese cake. It looked good however my stupid dairy sensitivity. Graham crackers were dessert as we made s’mores later in the evening.

After dinner and while they finished up pictures, we went down to sit by the fire pit.

But first, drinks!

Nate serenading Ashley with his mandolin.

We hung out by the fire until around 10ish maybe a little after. At this point, we busted out the karaoke and powered up the arcade for some competitive fun.

Maybe they are singing A Whole New World🤷‍♀️

JD and I went to bed around midnight and I assume the rest of the group was not long behind though the above picture was taken a bit after midnight so I can’t be so sure. I know that Kevin, Andy, Chris and Matthew all had early travel and in the picture above is Matthew and Andy. If you want to know what arcade games were included, check out the link in day one.

For not remember going to bed, I did have the ware with all to plug in my watch and ring (I never charge my ring at night) though my phone was MIA. How will we all feel tomorrow? Only sleep will tell.
