Since we hiked the day before, we decided today would be city exploring. We started our day off with breakfast at this cute and very tasty restaurant, Jam. Since I have a sensitivity to eggs, breakfast has become a lot more boring for me. I loved eggs and breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day. That said, I can still some pretty damn good items. While JD had scrambled eggs, English muffin, with hash browns, I had avocado toast with a side of bacon. Like I said, damn good.

After breakfast, we took off to explore what our neighborhood and adjoining neighborhoods had to offer. Below is the map of our walk. Our home base is in the Hawthorn neighborhood which apparently is consider the “weird” part of Portland. It did take us a few hours. It truly is a neighborhood, there weren’t very lot of shops or bars. I had forgotten my hat so I was on the look out for that and also my normal shot glass. I found both after much searching. They both were worth the search!

Lots of coffee/cafe’s and surprisingly a lot of food truck gardens. We didn’t eat at any but there were some really cool set ups.

After walking in the sun for a few hours and hiking the days before, we decided to head back to our airbnb to relax. We did have a grocery store about a block away so grabbed some wine and the makings for tacos for breakfast the next day. Since we were staying longer than the rest of the wedding party, we got all the leftovers so we snacked on a left overs while watching true crime TV before heading to bed.
